Academies Enterprise Trust (AET) is a non-profit charitable trust which sponsors schools with academy status. It is the largest multi-academy trust (MAT) in England〔http://www.academiesenterprisetrust.org/〕 with 68 primary, secondary and special academies. Its Head Office is based in Hockley, Essex. AET was established in 2008 by the Greensward Charitable Trust.〔http://www.greenswardcharitabletrust.org/〕 Greensward Charitable Trust was established in 1996 to support Greensward School in Hockley, Essex. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is Ian Comfort. Comfort has worked with AET since 2009 and joined full-time in 2012 as Group Secretary and General Counsel. He started his career as a mathematics teacher and progressed to become a Director of Education with local authorities judged by Ofsted to be outstanding. ==Expansion under Coalition== In early 2014 the Secretary of State for Education -Michael Gove appointed David Hoare as unpaid trouble shooter after criticism of “lavish expenses” and poor performance at the chain following its rapid expansion in 2011-2012. Hoare was subsequently appointed chair of Ofsted in July 2014 following objections to another candidate Tory donor David Ross The chain was ‘censured’ after 5 of its schools required improvement and one was deemed inadequate. Ofsted chief inspector Sir Michael Wilshaw called for powers to inspect academy chains & not just individual schools. In response AET said that Ofsted judgements were unfairly negative and that many of its newly acquired schools had a history of poor performance and would require time to turn round. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Academies Enterprise Trust」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
